We invited seven keynote speakers who dealt with related state-of-the-art technologies including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and micro air vehicles (MAVs), flapping wings (FWs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), underwater vehicles (UVs), bio-inspired robotics, advanced control, and intelligent systems, among others.

Furthermore, aiming at the outdoor environment navigation, a barometer and a Global Positioning System (GPS) are also integrated within this platform. A multisensory data fusion algorithm is then proposed to combine these sensors for the outdoor navigation.

Finally, a group of PID controllers are designed to stabilize the attitude and position. This paper discusses the navigation, guidance and control (NGC) system of an Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) through extended at sea trials carried out with the prototype autonomous catamaran Charlie.

In particular, experiments demonstrate the effectiveness, both for precision and power consumption, of extended Kalman filter and simple PID guidance and control laws to perform basic control.
